🧵 Loom – A Magic Button for Terminal Vibes
Loom is a one-word theme engine for Ghostty, the fast GPU terminal. Give it a vibe—brogrammer, dungeon, iced_coffee—and it weaves a full terminal theme using GPT-4 and the Ghostty theme schema.
You press one button. It gives you color, contrast, and code-ready output.
⸻
⚙️ What It Does • Prompts for a theme vibe • Uses GPT-4 to generate a full Ghostty-compatible config file • Saves it directly into Ghostty’s internal theme directory, ready to use • Also outputs a readable JSON version for development and tweaks
⸻
🪄 Why It’s Magic
This isn’t a UI. It’s a pipeline—a terminal-native spell. No frills. No browser. Just one input, one transformation, one result: a theme you can install and feel instantly.
It’s for developers who want the vibe to match the work. Not after five steps—after one.
⸻
✍️ Notes • Written in Python • Uses .env for secure OpenAI key usage • Works clean on macOS with Ghostty installed • Themes are saved in both human-readable JSON and Ghostty’s raw format
